It’s that time of the year again! We at UPF Umeå are looking for next years board! These are the positions we are looking to fill:
President:
As President, you carry the main responsibility for the board work, the association’s operations, and human resources. You oversee the strategic planning and execution of UPF’s activities and are in charge of the association’s administration.
Vice President:
As the Vice President of UPF, you are responsible for coordinating board work alongside the president, cooperating with the board in a wide range of responsibilities, as well as planning and executing Pax Nordica on UAIA’s behalf.
Treasurer:
As Treasurer, you are responsible for the association’s ongoing financial work, such as budget follow-up, bookkeeping, and handling incoming and outgoing payments. The role also involves close cooperation with the rest of the board to ensure that the association’s resources are used responsibly and aligned with the organisation’s needs. Through financial oversight and regular follow-up, you contribute to stability, transparency, and sound planning within the association.
Secretary:
As Secretary, you are responsible for taking notes and preparing, writing and keeping protocols for board meetings, keeping policies up to date, and managing memberships.
Head of Programme:
As Head of Programme, you are responsible for planning and arranging lectures on a wide variety of topics, connecting and collaborating with other organisations, contacting lecturers, for example, diplomats, politicians or journalists for visits, as well as coordinating with the PR team to ensure timely and effective marketing.
Head PR and Communications:
As Head of Communications, you are responsible for maintaining dialogue with our members through social media, email, and our website. You get to design posts across all the platforms used, keeping UPF’s brand identity intact, and coordinate with other board members. You also lead the marketing committee (That’s us!! :DD)
UFS Rep:
As the UFS Representative, you are responsible for communication between the organisation in Umeå and the national umbrella association, SAIA. You are also responsible for organizing different events and knowledge exchanges between Umeå and the other local associations. You also get to travel to different events related to SAIA and represent UPF Umeå.
Head of Activities:
As Head of Activities, you get to create and host a variety of events for our members, such as Politik&Pilsner, BBQs, movie nights, and more. You also lead the Activity Planning Committee, which helps you plan, set up and execute your and the members’ ideas.
Head of Media:
As Head of Media, you are responsible for the UPF podcast “Snacket”. It is your responsibility to find and contact possible guests, collaborators and contributors. You are also responsible for editing and publishing the episodes in collaboration with Umeå Studentradio.
Head of Travel:
As the Head of Travel, you are responsible for organising the association’s core activity: The trip held every semester! You monitor the members’ preferences and ideas to plan, structure and execute a valuable and fun study trip.
Head of Grants:
As Head of Grants, you are responsible for overseeing and staying up to date with various grant-giving organisations, creating and following up on grant applications, and working with board members involved in projects or ideas that need funding.
Editor:
As Editor, you are responsible for managing the publication of our magazine, UTPOST. It is published once a term, and your job is to come up with the theme, find writers, proofread, design the issue, and print it.
